UniUte Warranty Statement
UniUte warrants the original buyer — when a product is purchased new through an authorised UniUte store, reseller, or distributor — against defects in materials or workmanship that cause the product to perform below its specified limits. The warranty period for all UniUte products is one year from the date of retail sale. This warranty applies to the original purchaser only and cannot be transferred.
Where a product is found to have a genuine warranty defect, UniUte will repair or replace the affected parts at our discretion, following inspection by a UniUte representative. All warranty claims must be submitted through the original place of purchase, unless otherwise arranged. Proof of purchase must be provided upon request.
What Is Covered
The warranty covers defects in materials and workmanship that result in the product failing to meet its specified performance limits. If a claim is verified, UniUte will repair the product or supply a replacement — at our discretion. Our goods also come with statutory guarantees that cannot be excluded under Australian Consumer Law. You are entitled to a replacement or refund for a major failure, and to compensation for any other reasonably foreseeable loss or damage arising from that failure. You are also entitled to have goods repaired or replaced if they fail to be of acceptable quality, even if the failure does not amount to a major failure.
What Is Not Covered
The warranty does not apply where:
- Neglect or misuse is evident
- The product has been modified
- The product is fitted to a modified vehicle or one not recommended for that accessory
- The product has been used in racing or competition conditions without prior written consent from UniUte
- The product has been used beyond the expectations of the original vehicle manufacturer
- Damage has resulted from incorrect fitment
Products returned outside the warranty period, or returned used and without a valid fault, will be refused and returned at the buyer's expense.
Before installing any product, confirm you have received the correct parts for your application. Responsibility for ordering the correct parts rests with the buyer. Return of an unused product in original condition — where UniUte is not at fault — will attract a 15% restock fee.
Making a Warranty Claim
To make a warranty claim, contact the original place of purchase in the first instance. If you purchased directly from UniUte, contact us with your order number and a description of the issue. Products may need to be returned to UniUte for assessment or repair. UniUte is not responsible for postage or removal costs associated with a warranty claim, though assistance may be considered at our discretion once a claim is verified.
Fitment should be performed by a licensed mechanic or installer competent with 4x4 accessory installations. Special tools may be required for some products. Damage caused by fitment error is not covered. The warranty may also be voided if the product is installed in conjunction with anything other than genuine manufacturer or UniUte components.
