UniUte is an Australian ute accessories retailer and installer based in Moorabbin, Melbourne. We've been operating in Australia for over 10 years, and the team behind UniUte brings more than 20 years of global experience in ute and 4WD accessories — including time working in the industry in Singapore and Russia before establishing UniUte in Australia.
In that time we've carried out thousands of professional fitments from our Moorabbin workshop — canopies, roller shutters, sliding trays, hard lids, tow bars, side steps, and full tub builds. We do multiple installations every single working day, which means we've seen almost every fitment challenge, every vehicle quirk, and every accessory combination you can think of across every major Australian dual-cab.
Who We Are
UniUte was founded by Anton Poddubnyi, who has spent over two decades working with ute and 4WD accessories across three countries. After establishing himself in the accessories industry internationally, Anton brought that experience to Melbourne — building UniUte from the ground up with a focus on genuine fitment expertise, vehicle-specific products, and honest advice over a hard sell.
We're not a dropshipper or a catalogue site. Every product we sell is something we stock in our Moorabbin warehouse, have fitted ourselves, and stand behind. When you call UniUte, you're talking to someone who has physically installed the product on your vehicle type and can give you accurate fitment advice — not a call centre reading off a spec sheet.

Visit Us in Moorabbin
The UniUte showroom and workshop is at 37A Capella Crescent, Moorabbin VIC 3189. We're open Monday to Friday, 9am to 4pm. If you're in Melbourne, visiting in person before buying is always worthwhile — you can see canopies, roller shutters, and other accessories on display, check fitment for your vehicle, and book installation while you're there.
The canopy when it was finally delivered was above expectations albeit for minimal cosmetic damage to the front edge probably as a result of shipping.
DIY fitting on the other hand was another issue. The instructions were vague and based on a clamp fitting arrangement whereas the fitting kit was supplied with bolts and plates for a bolt through configuration which raised the issue cap rails on or off. It ended up being cap rails off. This sort of detail would have been beneficial in advance to minimise material and time wastage.
Otherwise a good product which compliments the vehicle nicely

Took a little over an hour to fit from start to finish.
I went with the soft cover due to more flexibility as it uses less
in-tub space and the cost is about a quarter of the Roller Shutter.

Awesome cover. This is exactly what I wanted! I went through the hassle of ordering another cover from another website, and got my money back and ordered this one. Great quality, great service. No drilling required!
Fits nicely, looks good & easy to fit. However, the instructions mentioned safety pins for the rear clamps but there were none supplied, other than that very happy with product.
Love these tonneau covers they eliminate the major problem with any ute tonneau that you have to unclip it and then clip it back in every time you want to open the tailgate especially when your hands are full makes it super hard this one's quick and easy covers the load and I can open and close the tailgate in seconds.
Chucked the lid on without the seals, just till I get the tub sprayed. It took about 2 minutes to install by myself.
This is exactly what I needed, something I can take off in a hurry and throw on the roof racks if I need to load something tall in the back.
Only concern I have is the hardware used to secure it are mainly plastic, I don't use too much tension to hold it down, so less likely to strip or break the plastic parts, which I am sure UniUte will have spares available.
Box arrived unexpectedly quick from interstate, looking good. All items / fixings present and accounted for including some extra's that would normally be on the car. Instructions easy to follow step-by-step with diagrams. The top panels were a little tricky to align but once done everything slotted into place. Looks and feels great. Nice touch is that there are copper grommets 6mm in the tops if you want to fix a fridge slide or something.
If I hadn't of watched a video on Utube I reckon I would still be scratching my head!
The installation instructions would have to be some of the worst I've come across. After viewing the "Ocam video" twice, fitting was a breeze.
The two cartons arrived at the expected time, the cardboard box containing the brackets and assorted nuts and bolts had burst one end and I was fortunate that nothing was lost. Another piece of banding wouldn't go astray.
Apart from that, it's all fitted and I'm happy with the product.
Instructions were good and commenced the job myself. Fitting the nut and washers to the nut adjacent to the radiator hose (LHS) turned out to be way too tight for my fingers. Look it to a local mechanic and he did a great job with the right specialist tool; added a few spacers to widen the gap between the end of the bolt to the radiator hose, just to be safe.
Was delivered promptly, communication was good.
Once it arrived it took about 45 minutes to install.
Works a treat and the install video on you tube helped a lot.
Tonneau was delivered very quickly and appears to be quite well made. The install was very straight forward being the clamp system and no drilling and the finish is really neat and tidy.
My only concern at this stage is after I installed it and really getting a good look at the cover sitting tight and true, I noticed a couple of defects in the vinyl. It looks like the sharp edges of the aluminium clamps may have pieced the vinyl during transit. I recall the box looking very second hand when it arrived. Time will tell how long it holds up for but while it’s a great fit and very neat looking, I highly doubt I’ll get near the 8+ years I got from my last one on my previous Triton.
My wife calls it the "vanity bar" and that's pretty much why I got it and serves that purpose very well indeed. It may nudge a small shrub to the side but not much else. My only gripe is again like others before, better instructions would make installation much easier.
