The Hilux tailgate is heavy by design — which makes dropping it unloaded a jarring experience and lifting it one-handed with tools in the other hand genuinely difficult. The ProLift Tailgate Assist solves this with a gas strut damper that attaches to the factory tailgate hinges, slowing the descent and taking the weight out of the lift. The result is smooth, controlled tailgate operation every time, with no modifications to the vehicle.

Fitment:

This kit fits the Toyota Hilux SR5 from 2015 through to the current 2025 facelift (N80 platform). Not suitable for earlier Hilux generations. Confirm your grade and build year before ordering.
